every salone is different, depending on where its at, hollywood or some small town in alabama. also not all salons work on commission. some pay booth rent. i pay a certain amount each week and have my own supplies. i dont have to pay for the things at the back bar or retail line. i DO get a commision on the retail tho. i get 25% of that. i work in a smaller 5 stylist salon and do really well for myself. if ur wanting to go into that field and needing info, make sure u base ur questions on the area u will work.
