How much money to paint a room?

How much money am I looking at spending to paint a living room with 12' ceilings? It is a fairly large size room. I want to paint off-white over blue.

As a rule if your going to paint a lighter color over a little bit darker one, You should prime it, Kilz2 is good..cost about 15.00 a gallon..Then your paint will cost about 15.00-25.00 a gallon depending on which one you go with..I actually like the ACE Royal paint Satin finish Its about 21.00 a gallon(Any ACE Hardware will have it).. It covers most of the time in 1 coat..(lighter colors) A gallon will do roughly 400 sq feet..
Reply:i would say around $100. I just painted my living room, and between brushes, primer, paint, tape, all the fun stuff, i spent just about $100.
Reply:well it depends how dark the blue is. If it is dark you will need a primer. I would say withthe primer and paint and supplies you are looking at around 100 bucks.
Reply:Plan on paying about 100$ if you are going to do it, which I would totally recommend, its really not that hard.





If you are planning on paying someone else to do it, plan on it being about 600 to 1000.
