How can you motivate someone to return money you have lent them?

I sent someone a few thousand dollars to invest. I never saw any returns on my investment, and I suspect the whole thing is a fraud. He keeps putting me off, and won't return my money, always giving me excuses and promises. Recently, he told me that if I contacted law enforcement, I would forefeit the money since he claimed we had a "privacy agreement", which is absurd. I've contacted the SEC and the FBI, and reported it, but in the meantime, how can I motivate him to return my money? Any psychological tips or techniques which you might have been successful with in the past? Thanks!

I wouls just keep in contact with lawyers or FBI or whatever and let them figure it all out if it was fraud.......good luck and next time don't just lend anyone money I hope you learned something from this.......
Reply:1. Phone him as much as you can to make him got a headache

2. Sent a man (with hell face) to his home, tell him his duty is to ask for your money, in a no violation way. It is better if the man smell fishy. Ask him to stay in his living room until the debt is paid, 8 hours a day, 7 days a week

3. At 2 o clock in the morning (yes every morning) phone him to pay his debt

4. If these are failed, contact your local attorney
Reply:In my country I would get a debt collector to go after him. By Force is one of the effective way to get back the money. But not too sure on your side.

I believe you do have some collection agency in your country. rather than losing 100% of your money, why not share it with the collection agency like 20-30% to get back your money
Reply:If you have signed documentation saying that he agreed to pay you back, contact an attorney and have an official “Please Comply” letter drawn up.

If you don’t have anything signed, still consult an attorney. You may be SOL because it will be difficult to prove the money wasn’t a gift.
Reply:Eric,

Just send a friend of your over to see him where he works. Make sure this friend is a big tough guy. Have your friend deliver a message or note to this guy. Make sure you make no threats in the note or the verbal message from your friend. Have you friend say" Eric sent me. He really needs to get this situation handled in the next 5 days. If not, we will be forced to look into other alternatives. Have a great day.
