I just got a job as a waitress at Stanfords, its similar to Applebees, and I was wondering how much money in tips a waitress makes in a given night? I know its obviously more when things are busy, like on weekends, but on average how much in tips does one usually make?

depending on the night the location and the resturant. i work at applebees in oak harobr washington and every friday and saturaday night we are busy and i make 350 each of those nights after tipping my bartender and expo. also i've worked at red robins and i once made 400 on a busy friday
Reply:I work at earls not fine dining but a bit more fancy than casual dining. I pull in 1290/month in wage at 8.40/hour and 2800/month in tips. Based on a 35-40 hour work week. yearly it works out to about 49000 after tax. pretty damn good i say. but hard on my little feet. Report Abuse
Reply:Depends on the location, but for a bar and grill probably about $100.00 or more. If the wait staff is mostly male then multiply that by 5
