How much spending money would I need for 3 nights in Prague?

For two people, 3 nights in Prague, roughly how much spending money would I need? For meals, drinks and traveling around the city, I already got flights and accommodation!

How much spending money would I need for 3 nights in Prague?
I think US$200 per day would be adequite if you avoid the expensive restaurants. Add another $100 for margin.

My trip in Sept averaged $450 per day, but If I take out travel and lodging, it comes to $200 per day for 2. That's about 400000 Koruna.

Buy single ride tram tickets, it's the best bargain. One ticket is good for one ride on a tram.

Reply:In euros, 200 should suffice. It depends on where you want to eat and so on.

How do I make ALOT of money in a yard sale?

I need to make alot of money right now. I need tips on hidden money and I need advice on how to let some items go. How do I sort through this stuff?

How do I make ALOT of money in a yard sale?
NBC Today just featured this topic yesterday morning. Here are some of the tips I remember the Garage Sale Guru recommending:

Clean everything

Put fresh batteries in items that use batteries

Organize things logically: clothes with clothes, toys with toys, books with books, kitchen items separate from bedroom items etc

Label with price tags. Don't tag something that's more than half of what you paid for.

ADVERTISE your sale! Place signs everywhere, ads in the local paper.

Be prepared to start early to please the early birds

Place big items up front to grab passers-by attention, like antique beds etc.

Spread things out to make people move everywhere for cool stuff.

The purpose of a garage sale is to get rid of unwanted items. It is not meant to get rich off of.
Reply:I read once that you should have everything clean looking. It attracts more money that way. Also, try to price everything, otherwise people will want to give you a quarter for everything!
Reply:invite your neighbors to sell their stuff at your yard sale also...creating a 'neighborhood' yard sale...more stuff=more buyers. take 10% of anything sold of your neighbors

Is there grant money available to young people who want to do international humanitarian work?

I did Amigos de las Americas two summers ago and paid for it myself. It all added up to 5,000ish dollars after imunizations, supplys and other things. I want to do International Service Corps this comming summer in Thailand, where I will teach HIV and AIDS prevention. It will be at least 6,500 dollars to do so. I'm also paying out of pocket to go to school each semester. I need to find money to do this. Anyone know any sources.

Is there grant money available to young people who want to do international humanitarian work?
No, there is no grant money for this. You will need to raise the money yourself, through working, through gifts from family and friends, and even through loans. The book "How To Live Your Dream of Volunteering Overseas" can help. Also, look through the previously answered questions on YahooAnswers -- this is a frequently-asked (and answered) question.

If you want to make the jump from paying to help overseas to *being paid* to help overseas, then you need to do several things: get a degree, become fluent in another language, have an area of expertise that you can train others in, experience in training people in underserved communities (immigrants, non-native English speakers, older people, people entering the workforce, etc.) or expertise that is desperately needed in a community (sanitation, medical training, procurement, working with people with HIV/AIDS, etc.). To learn about the many different jobs that people work in to help people in the developing world, visit ReliefWeb and click on "vacancies" -- this will give you an idea of the kind of career to pursue. Once you have a degree, more experience, etc., you can look into joining the PeaceCorps and/or UN Volunteers, which do not charge participants (however, both are EXTREMELY competitive -- and the average age of UNVs is 38, to give you an idea of how experienced they are).
Reply:I don't know... but I want to do alot of the same work, let me know if you find anything!

What is a way that I can make money to help pay for rent and college?

I plan on having a regular job I just wanted to know how to make extra money. I'm hoping that myself and two of my friends will be renting my parent's house next year while we attend college. I'm working on saving my money until/for then and still having a job while in college. I'm just looking for extra ways that I can scrounge as much money as I can.

What is a way that I can make money to help pay for rent and college?
This question always intrigues me. It's pretty simple, really. No one is going to just give you money for nothing. Therefore, something needs to be sacrificed to get it. Even if you don't have money, there are things that you probably have that can be exchanged for it.

Goods:

You may not be able to get back as much as you spent on it, but if you're willing to find them, there will always be someone who might want it from you. You can sell your possessions on e-bay or craigslist or just an old fashioned garage sale. Car lots will buy your used car. Consignment shops will buy your used clothes. This is probably the fastest way to get money, but it's also the least efficient.

Knowledge:

If you know how to do something that most others don't, you can turn this into a money making venture. Again, you just have to find the people who want your expertise. This could be anything from how to play a musical instrument to financial advice to tutoring.

Labor:

Good old fashioned sweat. If you have NOTHING else, you have this. Granted, since almost everyone can offer this, you won't be paid a premium for it, but you have to start somewhere. You can babysit, wash cars, rake leaves, shovel driveways, or actually get a job.

No one said it was going to be easy. If it was, everyone would be rich.

Reply:4 things you can do:

1. Increase income

2. Reduce expenses

3. Increase Return of Investment (ROI) in your investment

4. Create multiple streams of income

Some ideas to earn extra money:

1. Tutoring students

2. Using skills you have

3. MLM businesses

Personally, I find that an internet business is an easy way to create a passive income because:

1. Requires small to zero capital

2. Gets started right away and easily

3. Allows you to work from home or anywhere in the world as long as there is an internet connection

4. Has unlimited potential to earn money

5. No age or education requirements

6. Doesn't need you to have to have a company

What you need to do is to learn about the internet business as much as possible to discover whether it is for you and what your strategy is. There is free information around.

Good luck.

What happens to money that is paid to employees outside the country?

Does all of it go through the CLS? If so, what about money paid to natives of India? Their currency isn't supported by the CLS.

I need to know this before I can begin writing my term paper about what happens to the GDP of the US when jobs are outsourced.

What happens to money that is paid to employees outside the country?
well it goes to the other countries. but it is not that much. plus the companies get so much more profit that it does not matter.

If you have money sitting in a savings account earning interest, do you have to pay quarterly estimated taxes?

If not, can a person collect interest on their money all year long and just pay taxes on the interest at the beginning of the following year? Does it matter the amount? What if a person has ten million dollars sitting in an account earning interest?

If you have money sitting in a savings account earning interest, do you have to pay quarterly estimated taxes?
If you expect to have a tax liability over $1,000 that is not covered by withholding, then you are supposed to pay estimated taxes.

If you earn enough interest to owe $1,000 in taxes on the interest, you should send in estimated tax payments.
Reply:It depends on how much interest you're getting. If you had $10,000,000 in your account, then yes you should.

At tax time, if you don't have most of your taxes already paid, you can be penalized for under-withholding.
Reply:If your total tax liability is expected to exceed $1,000, you must make quarterly estimated payments.
Reply:no, only at the end of the year it's not road tax.
Reply:If you have enough to leave 10 million in a savings account then you know you need to pay quarterly. If it is just a piddly amount like 1 or 2 thousand, then unless you have a lot of other taxes that need to be paid quarterly, the IRS will probably not go after you if you pay annually. Just be sure to declare the interest and pay.
Reply:no, but you do have to pay income tax on iit-you will get a 1099 form for the irs
Reply:ask this in business %26amp; finance (taxes)

Is there a way to get money into my bank account from a different bank?

I am going on a three week trip to Pennsylvania, where my local bank from West Michigan is not present. I will get money when I get there, which needs to go into my account, but there are no Huntington National Bank ATMs or branches out there. Can I use a different bank's ATM with my Huntington ATM card and make a deposit? I know there would probably be charges involved, but I need the money in there for bills! Please help - any other ideas are appreciated as well!

Is there a way to get money into my bank account from a different bank?
Yes, you can use their ATM although they may charge a dollar or two. You can carry travelers checks also. If you need to transfer money you can have your bank wire some money to a new account in the bank where you are going.
Reply:An ATM will probably work fine. I would check with the owning bank to see how the credit would be handled. If all else fails, snail mail will work; just mail a deposit to your favorite bank.
Reply:As long as both banks are on the same ATM network you can get money
Reply:I would think any ATM that will do deposits should be able to. It's like going to a different banks ATM to take out money. You will just get charged by their bank and your bank for the transaction. You would just follow the ATM's instructions on deposting money.
Reply:Do a wire transfer. You usually can't deposit money into an ATM at another bank.
Reply:to be on the sure side and to ease your mind now -- just do a wire transfer from any back in pa!!!
Reply:If the money you get is cash, then u can buy a convenience store money order and send it with a deposit slip to your bank in Michigan. If you get your money in the form of a check , just endorse it and send it with the deposit slip. Both of those are lo cost. If you have a friend with an account in Penn, then you can just give them the check you receive and have him/her wire the amount to your Mich bank. A bit higher cost.
Reply:You can always do a bank wire transfer.

When should I transfer money from my savings account to my checking account?

When I get paid, my employer directly deposits my paycheck into my checking account. I was wondering if it's wise to transfer some of my paycheck money to my savings account. I'm a college student who goes to the ATM every week or two. I don't need money for food since I'm forced into the school meal plan. I know my money will be fine in my checking account, but I'm not sure if I can keep track of my money and make sure I actually SAVE my paycheck rather than squandering it all because I see that there's money I can take out of an ATM. Help?

When should I transfer money from my savings account to my checking account?
Transfer all you do not need into a savings account.

I would suggest an online savings account.

There are a lot of good ones out there offering 5% or better.

Here's a few to look into...

https://www.fnbodirect.com/01d/html/en/ currently paying 6.00%APY

https://www.emigrantdirect.com/EmigrantD... currently paying 5.05%APY

http://www.hsbcdirect.com/1/2/1/offer?co... currently paying 5.05%APY

All of these are safe and FDIC insured up to $100,000.

Transfers usually take 2-3 business days each way.
Reply:i believe the first person that should be paid is yourself so when you receive a paycheck take a set amount and transfer it to savings -- bear in mind you have an unlimited number of monthly transfer into savings but most limit withdrawals to a certain amount before charging fee!!!
Reply:You can specify a certain amount of your pay check goes to checking and some goes to savings.

Check with your employer. They have a form that you can fill out.
Reply:If the money is not needed in your checking account for payment of bills, then I would transfer most of it into your savings account. That way it's earning interest.

How much more money will I receive if I am married in the military?

Hey everyone. I have been dating my girlfriend for three years and I am looking to go into the military. I have been discussing marriage with her because then she can live on base with me. How much money will I receive if I am active military and I am married? Information about anything associated with this topic will be awsome. Thank you everyone.

How much more money will I receive if I am married in the military?
Not that much. The only differences are

1) You qualify for military housing or BAH w/dependents instead of living in barracks. The rate is slightly higher.

2) When deployed or in training for longer than 30 days you get Family Separation of $250.

3) If you stationed OCONUS then the COLA (Cost of Living Allowance) will be higher becuase again you aren't living in barracks and there is more than you. It is based on time in, rate/rank, # of dependents and if you live in barracks or not. For CONUS COLA that is a set amount for your rate/rank and it doesn't matter if you have dependents or not. Most major bases in the CONUS don't qualify for it. It is more for places where there isnt as much base facilities like commissary, exchange, etc....

4) Your Federal Income Tax deductions can drop because you are married and filing jointly.

5) BAS is food allowance and is for the AD member only! It is $294 for enlisted. It doesn't matter if you are married or not. If you are single you are eating in the mess so it is deducted from your pay each month. If you are married then it may not be deducted but it can depend on the branch and where you are. For the Navy the only time it isn't deducted is if you are on Shore duty or the ship's galley isn't operational. Otherwise all but $40 is taken out each month whether you eat there or not.

There is no other extra money or Spouse allowance or anything else for being married. So if you live in military housing in the 48 states and are home every night there is nothing more in your pay but the extra money from taxes.
Reply:In the Air Force, your rank and time in service (basic pay) will not be affected by being married. However, you can receive BAQ (basic allowance for quarters) or base housing (if it is available) when you are married. In addition, you will receive BAS (can't remember what it stands for???) but it is basic allowance to food. Also, in some areas, you might receive a cost of living allowance, but that is usually only given in places where the cost of living is over-inflated. Hope this helps a little, and good luck for the future!
Reply:you get either on post housing free then your food allowance of like 250 per month. If you live off post you get housing allowance based on rank and area. You can look it up on the net.
Reply:Check this out....this should help ;-)

http://www.dod.mil/cgi-bin/rmc.pl
Reply:Hey slow down and take a look at these options.

your pay depends on your rank when you enter active duty. And also if you are married or single at the time of entry.

Are you enlisting with any rank such as PFC, or comming in as an officer, or starting at the bottom as a private or airman depending on which service you join.

All of that plays a factor in what your pay will start out as. below is the site where you can go and see the military pay scale for fical year 08.

Now lets address the housing issue.

Lets say you make it thru all the initial training and your headed to your first duty station. As a married soldier.

depending on where you are station if your lucky to get stateside you can go to base housing to see how long it will take you to acquire government quarters if they have any available. If not you can live off base, and the cost of living is not to high where you are station.

again depending on which branch of the service you join. If you happen to be sent overseas like Germany, Korea, Japan and other areas like that. some branches of the service require you to go for at least 4 years in order to take your family with you. Not all tours overseas allow your family to join you. So keep that in mind, these are questions you have to ask. (dont be afraid to)

So becareful of what you put on your dream sheet (you will learn about the dream sheet in basic)

Also keep in mind the cost living overseas, and stateside, the dollar is not strong overseas, and yes you do get other money from the government like BAS, separate rations, and others along with your regular pay.

Your recruiter will not have all the answers, but at least if you can get the base you want to be station at listed in your contract, they have to honor that. So bargain for what you want.

Good luck to you.

How do businesses and companies gain money even when they are giving discounts?

How do companies and businesses gain money even when they give discounts. So, for example, if they were to give 50% discount on a product -- are they still making money or losing? If they are making, how do they do it even when they are giving discounts? If they are losing, why would they want to lose profit?

Thanks for answering.

How do businesses and companies gain money even when they are giving discounts?
The markup on most merchandise in most retail outlets is almost 100%. There are occasional instances where this is not applicable. However, even if the markup is only 50%, the profit margin will be 25%. Discounts are usually offered just to attract customers into the store, where they will, hopefully, buy other products that are not discounted.

What are good ideas for saving money on commuting?

I have to drive about 30 miles each way to get to work. When I get near my building I have to pay five dollars a day to park. I walk five blocks to my building. There are no trains, buses or subways that run between my house and my work.

You don't HAVE to do this, you have chosen to do this... it's a free country and your labor can not be conscripted. If the situation seems untenable all you have to do is to change the situation. I have some trouble believing that in a community that the closest parking is 5 blocks away and the density is such that you pay $5 for it there is no public transport.
Reply:Ask around at work to see if anyone lives in the same direction as you, and if some does try car sharing - one week you drive and the other is a passenger and the other week they drive and you are a passenger.

Whoever is the passenger gives the driver some money to help with that week's fuel and parking.
Reply:Find a carpool buddy. Post on your company bulletin board and see if anyone is coming from your area.

Or you could find another place to park, a little further away from your work, and then take the bus to your workplace.

Or you could just move closer.
Reply:Get a 250cc scooter. 85mph, 75mpg, you can probably park closer for free.

What's the point in hauling 2 tonnes of steel 60 miles a day just to get about 150lbs of flesh and bone to work?
Reply:Let the engine die everytime you are at lights etc. Or try to find someone to share rides with...put a notice up in work....campaign for a bus!

How much money should I bring to Cancun?

I'm staying for a week in an all inclusive hotel. I'm not a big shopper but i'll probably buy SOME things to take back home. I want to visit some other resturants, I would also like to snorkel, and do the dolphin swim thing. Maybe even see the Mayan Ruins. I want to have enough money to not worry about running out, but I also don't want to go over board. Maybe you guys can give me an Idea of what to bring. Hotel will be paid for this is strictly for spending money.

How much money should I bring to Cancun?
There is a possibility for every budget.

Ok, swimming with the dolphins costs about: $80 (dollars).

The trip to Chichen Itza, with guide and the bus, and lunch (all day) is about $50 (dollars).

If you want to visit Coba in a jungle tour (zipline, swimming, ruins) it is a bit more than $100.

If you eat a piece of pizza is $1.00 if you want to go to a restaurant and order a glass of wine, it would be about $35-$50, depending on the wine.

If you go clubbing, each drink is about $5 to $10, plus about $30 admittance.

Snorkeling out on the reef is about $5 or $30 if you grab a boat.

If you want to go to X-caret or Xel-Ha it is about $60, lunch not included and they don´t allow you to bring food from outside (people feed the animals, and they die).

Sometimes you will be required to use ONLY biodegradable sunscreen or none at all, bring it from home, here everything is imported and expensive (about $20).

If you rent a car, the cheapest is about $50 per day, plus gas (about $40 per tank) and insurance (about $15).

Taxis are about $30 to $40 to town, depending on where you are staying.

Handcrafts, ok, so they have very unique things here, you can buy maracas for a buck or a wooden carved statue for $1,000.

Do you think that professional athletes should have donate money to charity or be good role models?

I don't think by any means that they should have to. Just becuase you are a professional athletes why should you have to donate money and not be able to do things that any other adult can. There are people who make a lot more money than anthletes that do not donate a dime. Athletes should NOT be expected to do this in my opinion.

Do you think that professional athletes should have donate money to charity or be good role models?
I am not sure that most athletes ask to be or want to be role models. That is something some people assign to them. They have no moral obligation because they are athletes to give money away. That is up to individual conscience and not for others to decide. The owe the best effort on the playing field, and nothing more. The same can be asked of every individual whose collective donations can add up to billions if donating to charity is necessary to be a good citizen.
Reply:When you hear about an athlete supporting or donating to a charity you know that their press agent is milking the media cow for them. The big stars do it to get the publicity. But there are other athletes out on the field who don't make as much and get little or no attention and they do a lot of charity work and donating and don't like to talk about it at all.

I watched a golf program about some pro golfers and their lives. One is a rich older pro who has developed all kinds of business concerns and has yachts and planes. One was a young guy and he spent his interview with him and his wife going thru their brand new huge house pointing out all the toys and new fangled devices they had, opening walkin closets stuffed with designer clothes and garages full of cars. They were expecting and showed off more new baby clothes than are probably in all of Darfur.

But the last guy, Mike Weir, spent his interview time talking about all the wonderful things that had happened to him because he became a pro golfer, he got to meet Wayne Gretzky (every young Canadian boy's dream!) and he showed a street sign by the golf course where he used to play in Sarnia that they renamed after him. It brought tears to my eyes to watch him recount all the things that had touched and thrilled him by having his career.

I am sure tha he donates both time and money to as much charity as he can. But you know, he would probably do the same thing if he were a mail man. And for sure he would be just as wonderful of a role model, regardless of his occupation.
Reply:I've never seen any thing that says they HAVE to. Many do because it wasn't so long ago that they were poor themselves. The highest percentage of giving (by income) comes from people nearest the poverty line. It didn't take them 15 or 40 years to go from rags to riches either--the way it did Bill Gates (well, from middle class to richest man). Those years of hard work and having to say no to yourself and others can make those who worked longer and are older less likely to give.

Most poor people are used to giving what they have away--lots of reasons for that. Read Ruby Payne if you want to know. Most athletes know, too, that however hard they work, there are people working lots harder making lots less money (probably in their families) so they feel some guilt and guilty money gets spent. Better they should give it to some worthy cause than spend it on bling and blood diamonds.
Reply:You seem to have answered your own question.

I don't really think anyone should be made to do anything. As far as professional athletes go.... they earned the money and they can do what they want with it. People expect too much of others. Just because they are in the public eye does not mean that they are any different. There shouldn't be any pressure for them to be "role models". They are just as human and fallible as anyone else.
Reply:I think that, on a side note, professional athletes are yet another indicator of a misplaced societal compass.

We really PAY people to PLAY a game?

More, we pay them MORE than we pay educators?

And doctors and firefighters and police and nurses and [insert almost ANY service job vital to perpetuating our flagging civilization here]?

I don't blame athletes for the abovementioned gripe and if someone's going to pay them a ridiculous sum for performing a useless service, they should take full advantage of it (us). And they should be no more expected to be a role model than parents should be expected to win the Superbowl, World Series or any other pro sports championship. If parents did their jobs (e.g., role-modeled), we wouldn't expect athlete icons to do it for them.

Phew.
Reply:i think professional athletes are good role models just for their accomplishments. It requires tons of dedication and motivation to be where they are now. so it shows kids that if they are dedicated and motivated enough, they can accomplish great things. plus, athletes stay away from drugs. what else could you want in a role model?
Reply:Donating money is their choice, as far as role models are concerned, let your parents, and other family members be your role models
Reply:if they feel forced to donate then it takes the power out of it and defeats the purpose. I think athletes and 'stars' should donate and help out ...they should use their 'status' to their advantage this way
Reply:Agreed.

The ones who complain the most are the ones who pay their salary.
Reply:up to them, being famous or rich doesnt make them any different then a normal person. If they have to why wouldnt everyone
Reply:i wish they would do it because they are nice. But they all do it for publicity and a good image.
Reply:I agree with you...They should not have to.

How much money does each resident of Alaska get each year at tax time?

Each year the residents of Alaska don't have to pay state taxes due to a state trust from the state's oil revenue; how much money has each person received and do the parents of children receive the money for their children?

How much money does each resident of Alaska get each year at tax time?
You must be referring to the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend. Every eligible Alaskan receives a payment regardless of age or income. This year, Alaskans will receive 2100 for the PFD payout, plus Sarah Palin's $1200 Energy Relief Package for a grand total of 3300. I live in Eagle River Alaska, my family will be receiving 4 PFD packages this year.
Reply:There are 7 states in the USA that do not have a state tax. Alaska is just 1 of the 7. You are thinking of the Permanent Dividend Fund. It is made from the profits of the invested oil funds. The amount is made from the average investment of the prior 5 years. Last year it was $1654. This year is a bit more. Yes, every eligible Alaskan, regardless of age, gets a check. There is a wonderful plan that the kids' money can get invested in and set aside for college. The parents decide what to do with the kid's money until he is 18.

Is it possible to earn good money with online business, to supplement a full time job?

I preferably would like a personal develpment type of online business where I can earn good money and help others as well. Any ideas?

Is it possible to earn good money with online business, to supplement a full time job?
In the internet, there are many ways in which you can earn money online.. You could do surveys online, pay per click, reviewing, blogging or involve in Multi Level Marketing..

However, I have done research and the easiest way to earn money is by SEARCHING!

Imagine that you are using search engine to search what you want, and you are paid per search you make.. It pays about 0.01 poundsterling if I am not wrong per search.. It looks small, but think that you get that by doing what you as normal, searching..

This is the link..

http://www.myhpf.co.uk/apply001.asp?Frie...

However, don’t try to cheat by making excessive search because you search will not be counted..

My advice, click the results of you search, and don’t close the page for about 2 minutes, the you should get you money..

Hope this will help you

I love personal development things as well, and that's sorta where I'm going with all my random ventures. Have you heard of Life Coaching? You could definitely look into that. I started but then got distracted with some other ventures. Also, blogging! this is not an ad as I don't own the site, but if you google "beginner blogger basics" that first blog that comes up is full of awesome. I'm using it's ideas to start up my blogs, which I have a handful of, all on various niches that interest me. It'll take time to make money from, but blogging really can open so many opportunities along with the ad money, and really get your name out there if you get yourself established.

Good luck! :)

How do I get smart about money and get my finances in order?

I am T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E with money. I can't save it to save my life, I spend it as soon as I get it, I suck at paying bills and I am in debt. Not major debt, just enough to keep me worrying. I realize that I have a problem, but for some reason, I can't discipline myself to get on the right track. I need some advice on how to get my mind in the right place and get ahead. Thanks!

How do I get smart about money and get my finances in order?
As others have written, there are a lot of books on the subject.

What you need to know is that you have to act in order to change a behavior. Changing your actions is difficult, like quitting smoking, drugs, and drinking. But, unlike those other addictions, you can't stop all together. You need to spend SOME money in order to live.

You might try dedicating one credit card for auto bill pay services for monthly expenses that are fairly consistant. For example, ISP Provider, Cable, Land Line Phone, Cell Phone, City Water, Natural Gas, Electricity, Sewer, Trash Collection, Auto Insurance (if using monthly plan), and Newspaper. Why a credit card? Because these services are mostly consistant, but not always. If attached to a checking account, and one of the services (e.g. Natural Gas in the Winter, or Eletricity while running an Air Conditioner in the Summer) surges, you don't end up with an overdrawn account and all the banking fees that come with that.

You should have two checking accounts. One should be dedicated to auto bill payments. The other should be for payments you manually control. You carry a checkbook for the latter, not the former. Have the auto bill checking account pay the mortgage (or pay the rent from it) and auto transfer an amount to your savings account. If you have other loans, like for a car, or student loan, then use this account too. And, either set a fixed monthly payment to the auto pay credit card and then payoff the difference each month with the manually controlled checking account; or, set an auto transfer amount to the manual checking account and then pay the entire balance from there.

This takes care of all the expenses except probably your two most volitile ones. Food and General Merchandise. Unfortunately, credit cards are all too easy to use for these expenses. Try not to. Instead, reserve a budgeted amount of cash from your income for these expenses. Pull it out at the beginning of the month and divide it across some envelopes (e.g. Groceries, Clothing, Services, and General Merchandise). With smaller chunks of money to deal with, a natural instinct is to conserve it so it'll go farther. The idea here is to use that instint to your advantage. Now, when you shop for clothes, you'll look in your envelope and know what you have to spend and how close you are to the end of the month. A big item? Then, hold on to the money in one month and let it carry so you now have excess money in that budget category.

Obviously, this is just one control technique. Lots exist. You need to find the one that's best for you. Self Help books outline many variations. They are all depending on you to change. Good luck.
Reply:Lacking of self-discipline ,has been a bad habit.

maybe you would think of professional orgnization for help.
Reply:Take a look at any of Dave Ramsey's books. Eiether Financial Peace or The Total Money Makeover. He will help you address living within your means, being on a budget, and getting out of debt.

He's changed my life!
Reply:Don't stress too much, help is available.

Savings: establish a percentage of your net pay that you would like to save and arrange for that amount to be deducted and deposited directly to a savings account.

Bills: set up automatic withdrawals for all your bills from a dedicated checking account.

Debt: start by analyzing the debt you have, largest to smallest and develop a plan to pay them off, lowest to highest.

You can do this. Think of all the other areas of your life where you use the strictest of discipline. If at some point you would like to own a home, (if you don't already) start saving now.

Use the link below to find a calculator to help you with the debt reduction plan.

Good luck.
Reply:Go to your local library and ask the reference librarian to help you find books about compulsive shopping and basic money management. Learning better habits is attainable when you address any emotional issues and educate yourself about your finances.

Lots of people struggle with learning to manage their money, so you have a lot of company. Probably more than you realize! I doubt good money management comes naturally to very many people. Probably most have to learn the hard way. So don't be discouraged or feel bad! It's a process and a journey, and you can take positive steps every day.

It is very helpful to write down all your expenditures and income, so you have clarity about exactly what you're doing with your money. Without a written record, it is easy for the money to somehow mysteriously slip away into vague oblivion.

How much money can I withdraw from my credit card at the bank?

I am a student and going to be a senior in high school. Anyways, I am sometimes low on money and go to places where they do not accept credit cards. I do not have a debit card of my own yet and my dad is the cosigner on the credit card in my name. I was wondering what the limit was for withdrawing money from a credit card at the bank? Thanks.

How much money can I withdraw from my credit card at the bank?
That would depends on the limit that your credit card company set for you. If it is not printed on the monthly statement, you can call the issuing bank to find out. However, I would suggest that you try not to withdrawal money from your credit card as the bank generally charge you a service fee and charge you a high percentage in interest for the cash advance made from the credit card.
Reply:You can not "withdraw" because it's not a bank account. You can get a "cash advance", but be prepared to pay a large cash advance fee. This is not for being short of cash but for emergencies. Call your customer service number and ask for the "available for cash advance amount".
Reply:It all depends on the Credit card. Some cards have a certain limit that you can take out for a cash advance, others don't. You would have to contact your credit card company to find that out..but the most you can withdraw from any ATM in one day is $500. I hope that helped, %26amp; if you have anymore questions about it, feel free to email me :)

How do I save money instead of spending it?

I always spend money on junk food. I need to stop spending money on food so how do I save my money?

How do I save money instead of spending it?
heyy.

you are 15 plus and still don't know how to save money?!

um..junk food is like an addiction. i am 13 and know exactly how it is. well i eat alot, because i swim and play b-ball alot.. but you could still save up money.

first of all, after reading this go to your fridge and give out all the unwanted stuff that you dont eat anymore. then, start on from this week making a record of how much you usually spend on buying anything. whether it's a ball, pet food, your food, PS game, roses...whatever. make a record. do this exercise for like a month and see if that's how much you spend regularly. in a constant pattern. if not go through the list again and see what you spent more money on. and next time don't buy it. after this, try and put yourself into activities that will carry you apart from food. i am guessing your a boy (??) maybe try football, basket ball, drums, guitar, drama anything..or even helping your neighbours clean up their mess. see?

from all this you could earn extra money and you could save up and also maybe lose weight.

i know sometimes we get tempted to buy stuff .. yes but them but not every single day. like i treat my self to candy every month that lasts me for long ..

it's not that hard. try it out.

hope this may work out..

Reply:Figure out something you want to buy that is worth more to you than junk food. Keep that thing completely focused in your mind. Put up pictures of it. Change your computer password to the name of that thing. Calculate how much junk food you have to give up to get it. Like, an iPod would cost 62 Big Macs. Or... the amount you spend on junk food in one year would pay for an entire semester's worth of college tuition. Do everything you can to remind you of how much you want it.

Having a replacement desire works very well.
Reply:when you get money, tell a person you trust, mother father brother, to put it in a safe you dont know the combination to. when you go shopping, only have enough money for what you need. say you need a thirty dollar filing cabinet, only take like 33/34 dollars so that you dont have extra money to spend
Reply:One thing I tried was I stopped buying junk food and started spending my money on more valuable things. It helped.

How much money should I take to Ecuador and galapagos islands for 2 weeks?

Am not planning on buying anything in particular but am unable to find out relative costs. Also, what is the best way to take money ie cash, travellers cheques or credit cards.

How much money should I take to Ecuador and galapagos islands for 2 weeks?
getting to the Galapagos will cost nearly as much as your ticket to Quito or Guayaquil.

I worked for a year in Ecuador on a salary of $200 monthly,(4 yrs. ago),so its possible to live cheaply if your careful.

If you are in the countryside you'll need cash, but for safety don't take too much.

Large denomination notes will be troublesome.Take maybe $150 in fivers, and $50 singles
Reply:Cost of living in Ecuador has increased significantly in the past few years. It might still be cheaper than the US, but I wouldn't take less money than if going on a trip to Orlando or San Diego. Report Abuse

Reply:Galapagos is expensive not only to get to, but to tour around. Also, drinks of any kind are going to be almost twice the price of continental Ecuador (you know, that thing about transporting them all the way there from mainland). Report Abuse

Reply:The cost of foood in Galapagos is relatively the same as continental Ecuador, but you will be thirsty, so get prepared to spend some bucks on water. Report Abuse

Reply:I think you should take about 300 USD after plane tickets. This would cover some typical food, souvenirs, taxis, internet, partying and museums.

If you'd like to buy stuff at a mall you better use your credit card. If you're gonna shop at a hotel, use again your CC. However, if you're gonna travel a lot to small towns you better bring cash--take care of it if you go around Guayaquil. In Galapagos there's not a lot of mugging. I think in Galapagos you won't spend a lot of money if you've already paid you hotel and tour. Souvenirs are a bit expensive (100 USD if you're gonna buy shirts, and figurines)
Reply:about 2k usdollars to get there and back....

tres expensive* ship to islands and etc. the first answer is

right
Reply:take credit cards, your atm card will be good overseas, just tell the bank your leaving...

galapagos is a little expensive , if you want to check out the sites of the animals and take tours and all , it could be safe with $2000, but if you just going to relax on the beach and chill out , $1000 and your safe
Reply:At least $2000 combined cash and credit card if you want be traveling to places like the Galapagos. I took $1,500 for 2 weeks I spent there but didn't go to Galapagos. This is a touristic place so it is expensive (imagine you are going to Miami from NY) On the other hand the food is cheap, you could eat lunch for only $2 and dinner for 2 for about $10. Cash is your best bet to bring over but a credit card will be useful as well. Good luck!
Reply:You could have a fantastic time on a million dollars.

How can you motivate someone to return money you have lent them?

I sent someone a few thousand dollars to invest. I never saw any returns on my investment, and I suspect the whole thing is a fraud. He keeps putting me off, and won't return my money, always giving me excuses and promises. Recently, he told me that if I contacted law enforcement, I would forefeit the money since he claimed we had a "privacy agreement", which is absurd. I've contacted the SEC and the FBI, and reported it, but in the meantime, how can I motivate him to return my money? Any psychological tips or techniques which you might have been successful with in the past? Thanks!

How can you motivate someone to return money you have lent them?
I wouls just keep in contact with lawyers or FBI or whatever and let them figure it all out if it was fraud.......good luck and next time don't just lend anyone money I hope you learned something from this.......
Reply:1. Phone him as much as you can to make him got a headache

2. Sent a man (with hell face) to his home, tell him his duty is to ask for your money, in a no violation way. It is better if the man smell fishy. Ask him to stay in his living room until the debt is paid, 8 hours a day, 7 days a week

3. At 2 o clock in the morning (yes every morning) phone him to pay his debt

4. If these are failed, contact your local attorney
Reply:In my country I would get a debt collector to go after him. By Force is one of the effective way to get back the money. But not too sure on your side.

I believe you do have some collection agency in your country. rather than losing 100% of your money, why not share it with the collection agency like 20-30% to get back your money
Reply:If you have signed documentation saying that he agreed to pay you back, contact an attorney and have an official “Please Comply” letter drawn up.

If you don’t have anything signed, still consult an attorney. You may be SOL because it will be difficult to prove the money wasn’t a gift.
Reply:Eric,

Just send a friend of your over to see him where he works. Make sure this friend is a big tough guy. Have your friend deliver a message or note to this guy. Make sure you make no threats in the note or the verbal message from your friend. Have you friend say" Eric sent me. He really needs to get this situation handled in the next 5 days. If not, we will be forced to look into other alternatives. Have a great day.

Do you have to claim money received as inheritance to the irs?

We have looked the information up on the IRS website and also H%26amp;R block but not too clear on this. It talks about 'gifts received' but nothing about cash money...Do you have to claim money you received as inheritance? say to the tune of $40,000, or is it considered a gift and not taxable? Thanks for your help!

Do you have to claim money received as inheritance to the irs?
The grantee (receiver) generally does not pay income or estate taxes on his/her "inheritance". If the money transfers over from a tax deferred account then you might have to pay the unpaid income tax on that.

There is plenty of information on this topic...you are just looking in the wrong place....lookup "estate taxes" lol.
Reply:Was this inheritance outside of a retirement account or other tax-deferred account? If so, there is no income tax on this money.

Was this inheritance part of a traditional IRA or pre-tax employer plan? Did you inherit tax-deferred bonds? Then there will be income tax due on this inheritance. If this is the case you should study your options for receiving this money so taxes are minimized.

For planning purposes, be aware that any earnings on this money after the date of inheritance are taxable.

Inheritances are not gifts. Gifts are made during the donor's lifetime.
Reply:All income must be delcared.

If unsure, see your accountant but it's better to be safe and sleep at night then worry that someone is chasing you.
Reply:No, an inheritance is not considered taxable income.
Reply:If this is life insurance proceeds (death benefit from a life insurance policy), it is tax free if the policy was an owned by an individual.

Consult an accountant.
Reply:No, you do NOT! If any tax is due it is paid by the estate. There are no taxes due from the beneficiaries.
Reply:Yes, you do have to claim it.

How much money does the IRS take out of you weekly check when you owe them taxes?

I filed my taxes two years ago and when i did them i claimed my aunts two kids her husband also claimed them without us knowing it. After i had recieved the refund check about six months later the IRS said that i had to pay the money back i id not contact them to set up a payment arrangement and now they have contacted my employer. Does anyone know how much they will take out of my check? I get payed everyother week and it is only around $500.

How much money does the IRS take out of you weekly check when you owe them taxes?
No the IRS cannot take all of the money from your check. There are amounts exempt from levy. They will however take a very substantial portion of it. You can figure the amount of your paycheck that is exempt from levy by using the IRS tables which you can find at the following link:

http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p1494.pdf

There is no reason to leave the levy in effect however. You should make sure all of your returns have been filed to date and set up a formal installment agreement right away. The amount you pay via an installment agreement will be substancially less then the amount you will pay via a wage levy. Also keep in mind that the IRS does not stop at wage garnishments. As long as you are subject to enforcement action and are not entered into a valid installment agreement the IRS will seek other assets which could include levying your bank accounts among other things.

Reply:If they want it bad enough, they can levy your bank account and take your entire paycheck until it's paid off. They also do this to dead beat parents.
Reply:You need to contact them as soon as possible to set up payment arrangements or they will take your whole pay check until the debt is paid in full.
Reply:You NEED to call and set up a payment plan right away or else your probably going to be broke til next pay day. They could take it all if they have a hair up their butt and they usually do. They could keep taking and taking til it's paid off.

How much money does a waitress make in a given night?

I just got a job as a waitress at Stanfords, its similar to Applebees, and I was wondering how much money in tips a waitress makes in a given night? I know its obviously more when things are busy, like on weekends, but on average how much in tips does one usually make?

How much money does a waitress make in a given night?
depending on the night the location and the resturant. i work at applebees in oak harobr washington and every friday and saturaday night we are busy and i make 350 each of those nights after tipping my bartender and expo. also i've worked at red robins and i once made 400 on a busy friday
Reply:I work at earls not fine dining but a bit more fancy than casual dining. I pull in 1290/month in wage at 8.40/hour and 2800/month in tips. Based on a 35-40 hour work week. yearly it works out to about 49000 after tax. pretty damn good i say. but hard on my little feet. Report Abuse

Reply:Depends on the location, but for a bar and grill probably about $100.00 or more. If the wait staff is mostly male then multiply that by 5
Reply:I'd have to say $25-90 depends on location.

How much money should I save for a vacation to Scotland?
It depends, if you want to see Nessie, bring with you lots of pounds
Reply:You have to consider that the it is $2 to the pound right now. Things generally cost the same. By this I mean if it costs $15 here it will cost you 15 pounds there or $30 dollars so plan to pay twice as much. For instance you can probably get a decend B%26amp;B over there for around 50 to 90 pounds so that will be $100 to $180 a night. Then you have public transport for the train and/or bus. Keep in mind EVERYTHING costs over there. Every historic place you go, every parking spot you use, etc. I would say the plane ticket alone will be at least $800. Lodging will be minimum $700 and thats only at a B%26amp;B, not a hotel. You food would be approx. $100 a day if not more and thats just for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Public transport will vary widely depending on how you are traveling and where you are going. I would save at least $3000 as somoeone else answered. You best bet is to get on the internet and start looking at costs for the train, B%26amp;B's or Hotels, food and flights.
Reply:Alot. If you change $1000 , you get 500 pounds. So you lose half your money right off the bat. Also things are extremely expensive there. I bought a pack of cigarettes there and looked at my bank statement.... $15 for one pack. Everything is expensive there compared to here. It is beautiful but bring lots and lots of money.
Reply:At least three thousand dollars.
Reply:i would say at least 4 thousand!

How much money should I save before moving to a different state?

I am 18 years old and currently living in Indiana with my mom and her boyfriend. My boyfriend lived in Wisconsin and so I was planning on moving to Milwaukee with him and eventually going to school there. We'll both be moving into the city without jobs right away but should have one within a month.

I currently have bills that total to about 400 dollars a month.

As far as moving expenses, there will be none other than gas as I will be having family help me move everything.

What do you think would be an appropriate amount of money to be saved considering the circumstances?

How much money should I save before moving to a different state?
You will need at least first, last months rent and maybe enough for a security deposit. That could be anywhere from 1400 to 2100 dollars. Turning on your utilities usually has a charge as well so save about a 100 for that. I would also suggest saving the 400 that you will need to your already existing bills plus another 200 for food and miscellaneous items. I am assuming that your boyfriend will split the apartment costs with you evenly so you need $1,100 each for the apartment and an additional $600 on your part for your food and outstanding bills. I would aim for about $2000 in case it takes longer to find a job or at least so you can guarantee paying your second month of rent if you had just gotten a job when rent was due. Good Luck!
Reply:AT A MINIMUM, ensure that you check out the moving companies as thoroughly as you would a company hiring an employee. Check out their references, licensing, and insurance.

How much money should you save for retirement?

If you are living a comfortable lifestyle with a spouse and expect to live another 20-25 years in today's money?

How much money should you save for retirement?
First of all in today's world you need to expect to live 30 years just in case. People are living longer and longer so you do not want to be short or run out of money.

Then what ever number we end up with you need to determine how much of that money is not adjusted by inflation and what % is in the stock market to keep you in the long run beating inflation.

If you have 1.5 million today would be very good but in about 15 to 20 years you will need maybe 2.5 million to maintain the same standard of living you have now.

That means you have to be wary of how much you take out of your critical mass (4-5% max to have a high % (90)of growth success)

This all seems like a lot of money but if you work hard for a long time a middle income person can do this even without inheritance money.

Even when you do retire (65) you need to still think like a young person (as far as investments are concerned) because you are thinking about the next 25 to 30 years and want income and growth. If you play your cards right you will make more saving in those last 25 years than you did by your retirement years.

How much money can I earn in a year without jeopardizing my Social Security Disability benefit?

I am in the Chicago area, I dont know if that makes a difference. It is near impossible to survive on the amount of money the government provides.

How much money can I earn in a year without jeopardizing my Social Security Disability benefit?
$900/mo is considered Substantial Gainful Activity by the SSA, so anything you earn under this will not jeopardize your payment.

If you are not drawing any SSI, you may earn income from investments, annuities, stocks, rental properties (provided you are not doing the "work" to maintain them.)

A word of caution: Too much "activity" may trigger your file to be pulled by review, especially if you are a younger individual.

You can also contact the SSA regarding the "Ticket to Work" program. See below:

During a trial work period, a beneficiary receiving Social Security disability benefits may test his or her ability to work and still be considered disabled. We do not consider services performed during the trial work period as showing that the disability has ended until services have been performed in at least 9 months (not necessarily consecutive) in a rolling 60-month period. In 2006, any month in which earnings exceed $620 is considered a month of services for an individual's trial work period. In 2007, this monthly amount increases to $640.

Good luck.

How much can I earn and still receive Disability benefits?

Question

I am receiving Social Security disability benefits. Will my benefits be affected if I work and earn money?

Answer

We have special rules called "work incentives" that help you keep your cash benefits and Medicare while you test your ability to work. For example, there is a trial work period during which you can receive full benefits regardless of how much you earn, as long as you report your work activity and continue to have a disabling impairment.

The trial work period continues until you accumulate nine months (not necessarily consecutive) in which you perform what we call "services" within a rolling 60-month period. We consider your work to be "services" if you earn more than $640 a month in 2007. For 2006, this amount was $620. After the trial work period ends, your benefits will stop for months your earnings are at a level we consider "substantial," currently $900 in 2007. For 2006, this amount was $860. Different amounts apply to people who are disabled because of blindness.

For an additional 36 months after completing the trial work period, we can start your benefits again if your earnings fall below the "substantial" level and you continue to have a disabling impairment. For more information about work incentives, we recommend that you read the leaflet, Working While Disabled-How We Can Help (SSA Publication Number 05-10095).
Reply:Social Security has two separate earnings limitations – one that is applicable to everyone under full retirement age and a second, higher limitation applicable only in the year that full retirement age is reached. In 2006, the lower, general limitation is $12,480 with a $1 offset in benefits for each $2 in excess earnings. The 2006 higher limitation is $33,240 with $1 in benefits withheld for each $3 of excess earnings. Earnings limits for 2007 will be announced in October at the same time as the annual cost of living adjustment (COLA) is announced.

You should consider starting a business under a corporate name. Get a tax ID. All the income/expenses will be under that corporation and will not be under your social security. Of course, you want to start a business for a legit reason but it also provides you with perks that's not taxable to you.

You should also seek investing in government instruments under a corporate name such as tax liens and tax deeds which can bring you a high amount of returns monetarily. See the book below for more information.

How much money can I make before getting a business lisence?

I am looking to host an event. I want to charge an entrance cover fee since I am renting a banquet hall at a hotel. In California, can I legally do this with out a business license?

I will not be making much money if any. I think I read somewhere that if I make less than $600.00 annually that I do not have to register. Is that correct?

How much money can I make before getting a business lisence?
No, it is not.

You need a business license from the city where the event will be held.

Whats an easy way to gain money during the summer?

My family is have financial difficulties at the moment, and I dont want to bother them with expences secondary to whats important, so I want to make my own money while i have the time. Once the begining of school starts again, ill be needing school supplies for High School, and some new clothes. Im allmost 15 years old and going to be a freshman. Im allready thinking of a mini babysitting/tutoring business, but what are some other good ideas?

Whats an easy way to gain money during the summer?
At 15 it will be difficult to find legitimate work because of child labor laws and things.

Babysitting is not a bad way to do it.

You could also try,

yard work for your neighbors.

or just start going door to door asking and letting people know that you are looking for work. Put together some business cards that have your name and phone number on them. Then go to walmart or something and buy magnetic tape and tape it to the back of the cards. Then when you are out talking to people hand them a card and tell them to stick it to their refridgerator and call you if they think of anything you could help them with.

Post an add on craigslist letting people know you are looking for work.

The key here is to be creative and market yourself until you have more work than you can handle.

Reply:Ahh, all these people that are trying to refer you to their money sites did not pay attention to the fact you're 14. I'm pretty sure all of them have age restrictions. Starting your own business is a GREAT idea. Not only will it bring in some extra money, but it is a really great experience that will help you in many ways, especially being so young. Babysitting and tutoring are good places to start, along with yard work and dog walking (/sitting), grocery shopping for elderly people (if you have someone who could drive you) etc. What else are you interested in/like doing? Maybe you could incorporate that too, so you enjoy what you're doing, along with making money.

Good luck!

What are some tips on learning how to make money from trading stocks?

I want to be able to generate money on the side from my main job by trading stocks. I want to learn how to generate money from short term investments.

What are some tips on learning how to make money from trading stocks?
IF you can't watch those suckers every minute of the day, then you better forget trading stocks. Hire a pro to invest for you or you WILL lose trading stocks, it's dangerous and today even more so. I do trade off and on and I do ok and every year I'm positive. But there are so many variables in that jungle I couldn't even begin to tell you here.

FOUR rules I always follow.

1.) Never buy a hyped up stock on the day it is being hyped. It will come crashing down just as fast. You'll get burned for sure that way.

2.) Don’t just buy a stock because it’s got news MAKE SURE the company is solid. Check out the financials.

3.) NEVER NEVER NEVER buy penny stocks NEVER.

4.) And the most important rule is NEVER rush into any trade, always take your time and think carefully about every trade you make. Know exactly what you are doing. DO NOT be greedy, got a profit take it! And KEEP YOUR FINGER ON THE TRIGGER! KNOW WHEN TO GET IN AND OUT.

And if you have hundreds of little trades at the end of the year like I do be prepared to go through HELL doing you taxes. They want every detail, so much fun. And yes, they will come after you even if you lost money. And no the tax software doesn't do it all, your little fingers will. Just so you know.

And no you won't get rich quick, or at all, doing this. And if you are rich it's a good way to become poor. So be very careful the system is rigged against the little guy, they do know how to get you.

Ok?
Reply:The best way to learn how to trade stocks or currencies or commodities, etc. is to "paper trade". "Paper trading" is when you pretend you're opening up positions in the market whether a buy or a sell. Write down your position (i.e. buy 1000 shares of MSFT), then at the end of your trading period (whether within the day or week or month, etc.), review your trade and research on why you made or lost money. Researching is when you truly learn the fundamentals and technicals of trading. A good source of research is going to websites which focuses on the specific security or commodity you are trading - i.e. for stocks - Wall Street Journal, for currencies - Forexnews.com, etc. What I use for research is Yahoo! Finance and Bloomberg.

When you're comfortable on your strategy in going in and out of the market, that's when you trade with real money.

Good luck on your trading!
Reply:Pick the best stock broker, one with low fees.., it took me some time to see that most of my gains were lost to the fees i paid to actually buy stock and sell it, i suggest zecco, they were recently given a great review by wall streets "smart money", and are the ONLY ones who offer free stock trades.

How much money do you get paid for babysitting?

I'm trying to figure out how much money to charge. One lady has 3 boys, one in kindergarten, a toddler, and a baby. Then another lady who has three girls, a four year old, a two year old, and a newborn.

How much money do you get paid for babysitting?
It depends upon where you live.

Rural areas: $4/hr for the 1st child + $2/hr for each additional.

High Density Areas: $8/hr for the 1st child + $4/hr for each additional.
Reply:i think the price should bepend on how many kids there are, age of the kids, and how long. longer hours=less money charged. more kids=more money charged.
Reply:whoaaa...you should be getting a hefty wage for those kinds of jobs like oh $2 /child. good luck though like the above says you'll be lucky to get $5/hour
Reply:For me, I let the family choose what to pay. Not everyone can afford to pay you the same amount. I babysat for one girl for 8 dollars an hour, but another family I babysat for had three kids (7,8, and 2 years old) but they couldn't afford to pay me more than than 2 dollars an hour. That's less than a dollar an hour per kid, but I did it anyway because they really needed the help. Don't set a certain amount, talk to the parents about what they are willing to pay. And discuss their behavior too, you should get paid more for kids who are hard to manage.
Reply:i think $3-$5 an hour sounds reasonable, but talk to the parents to see what they think is okay. also, make sure they know ahead of time how much ur charging, so there's no surprises.

try reading the american girl babysitting book for more help!

How to get back my money from the escrow account if the deal gets cancelled?

I was in process of buying a restaurant and have deposited $1000 in the escrow account. Later on I stepped back and decided not to buy the business because the seller was unable to provide me the tax papers on time.

Now the seller's attorney says that he is not going to release the money deposited in the escrow account as I have not provided any valid reason to cancel the deal.

What should I do to get my money back from the escrow account?

How to get back my money from the escrow account if the deal gets cancelled?
Usually the earnest money is not returned unless there is a valid reason why you're backing out. Not receiving tax returns should work for this purpose but you will need a written statement from the seller stating that they will not release tax info and you are cancelling the deal and the money may be returned to you. Without any evidence of why you're backing out the atty does not have to release the escrow money back to you. If you still have difficulty you may have to obtain an atty of your own or if you have a commercial realtor they should be able to draw up the doc for both parties to sign to get the money back.
