When you are first starting out as a tax preparer, how much money can you make during tax season? Is it hourly? Comission?
How much money can you make as a tax preparer?
When I worked for a tax prep business, I got an hourly wage, plus commission. (The commission got bigger the longer you were there).
It's not bad money - but it is seasonal. Still - a good skill to have, for your own sake (not having to pay someone else to do your own), and for something to fall back on, or adding part-time work during the "season".
Reply:It's hourly...usually around 10/hr
Reply:If you REALLY want to make money on taxes, become a CPA. My brother is one and he pulls well over $300k a year.
