Bank of America doesn't have any branches in the state of Colorado, and I would like to wire money to WAMU. ATM's have a withdrawal amount of $400 per day, and it will be easier to do this by wiring it. Is there an online service that does this? I don't see an option to wire money to a differing financial institution on the bank's respective websites. Thanks!
How do I wire money between my own accounts at separate banks?
If you have access to Bank of America's Online Banking, you can make transfers outside the bank by logging on, selecting the Transfers tab, and then select the Outside the Bank tab under Make Transfer. Be sure to read the service agreement before proceeding as I'm sure that there will be fees involved.
Reply:call bank of america and ask to get telephone authorization to wire. they will mail you some forms and this will allow you to call a branch and do the wire over the phone. for the wire youll need the bank account number and routing number. the address of the bank helps as well.
Reply:Go to your new bank and bring with you Bank of America's ABA routing number (contact your old branch for this number) and your old account information. You will have to fill out a form at your new bank and provide ID. Your new bank will take care of the wire transfer while you are sitting there. Wire transfers generally cost $40.
